The Center for the Logic, History and Philosophy of Science is one of most active centers at the University of Bucharest. Its members are constantly taking part in diverse research projects- both national and international wide. Our center is dedicated to building and foresting a relatively new-born field in Romania, while at the same time highly encourages and supports partnership with students aiming at a research oriented or academic careers worldwide.

Some of our undergoing activities: Research seminar (weekly meetings for members to discuss work-in-progress; conferences and lectures of prestigious academics and researchers), the Friday Seminar jointly organized with the Center for the Fundamentals of Modernity and the New Europe College (it is similar to an open forum for researchers and students),the CELFIS Seminar in Early Modern Philosophy (weekly meetings for young researchers), the Evening Meetings in Science (mounthly meetings), conferences and lectures.

The MA in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Bucharest is a special two-year graduate programme that offers an excellent basis for independent scholarly work in the field. Some of the courses are specially conceived and jointly structured with the co-participation of foreign universities as to offer both the indispensable preparation and a fascinating introduction to the history and philosophy of science. We strongly support and encourage our students to follow an international career such as Ph.D. programme at some of well-know universities.
